Captivated by the mythical dragons that sprung from the pages of the book “Once upon a time..”, American born artist, Real Musgrave, began to sketch Pocket Dragons in 1975. After his graduation, he headed for Europe looking for artistic inspiration. He carried a small notepad to sketch his discoveries on the road. The diminutive size of the pad forced him to think small. Suddenly, the dragons he was drawing were not big, instead they were tiny. It struck him that these miniature monsters were his “Pocket Dragons”. The name rang so true that he couldn’t let it go.
